This has more to do with the culture of people now than coaches or rankings.
Back when BYU got theee played they were building the powerhouse we now remember. Back then it was church and family before everything else…
Now it’s, how do I get more NIL and maybe in the NFL… more than anything else.
I think most on CB would agree and think if a kid has a chance to go to Michigan or Alabama they should, if you can get more money at Utah (or wherever), you go get yours… this is different from the time when Edwards coached, people didn’t think like that then.
