I have no problem believing the church and BYU makes

Serious mistakes and even goes against what morally may be the right thing to do from time to time.

Yet I don't believe that that BYU would offer her a scholarship to stay quiet. It doesn't even make sense. Might as well just pay her money instead of a scholarship. That would keep things more quiet.
