This was after the mission and my roommate had his eye on two girls that both liked him and both knew each other. My roommate was almost 22 and one girl was a brand new freshman and the other was a senior in high school (about 3 months before graduation). They were both local girls and knew of him through our Bishop, who had been their seminary teacher.
My roommate was having a dilemma because he thought they were both cute and had great personalities. He liked the senior a little more but felt she was too young. He talked to all of the roommates to get their thoughts but essentially talked himself out of any interest in this particular girl.
A few days later a neighbor girl, that was in the horticulture program, brought over a bouquet of roses and put them in a vase on our table. We then had her write a note that said something along the lines, “I have heard so many great things about you and would love to go on a date with you. I can’t wait for you to ask me out.” And she signed it using the name of the senior girl in high school.
Our roommate was thrilled but also freaking out by how forward this girl had been. He went and asked our Bishop about it and the Bishop said he would look into it. Of course she denied everything and he came back so mortified and mad that we had pulled the prank and let it go for days.
