Sounds to me like that's a BYU problem. Not a conference problem.
Meanwhile your conference mates all dealing with the same restrictions. In fact, probably moreso, because they have a fraction of the resources BYU has, were able to field competitive teams.
The WCC CURRENTLY has players in the NBA from: Pepperdine, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Saint Marys and Gonzaga. That's 50% of the league. (none from BYU)... yet it's a conference problem? Look in the mirror.
