My opinion: the “P2” moniker was invented by media to create buzz…
…I actually think conference commissioners and media partners are smart enough to realize we need more than 2 conferences to keep as many eye balls engaged as we currently have.
College football is amazing because we are so emotionally tied to our Alma Maters…in a way that no professional sport can recreate.
I’d imagine there’s a happy balance out there at 4 or 5 major conferences…
