I don't know anything about Andy Staples, but was he nearly as concerned when BYU was being locked out of the BCS? Was he this concerned about how hard the MWC, AAC, WAC, Sun Belt, etc., teams were working but not being recognized due to the name of their school or area they came from?

I don't disagree with what he's saying. Not at all. In fact, if they turn the P2 into some super league - I'm not sure what would make it any different than the USFL, full of teams with NCAA all starts and which I didn't watch either. I'll probably find myself watching the regular NCAA games and the NFL games, and skipping the semi-pro P2 league altogether.

So this isn't about Andy Staples, really, because I don't know his history and haven't been paying attention.

But it's laughable to me that people are upset and protesting now that some P5 teams are looking into the crystal ball of their future and see themselves potentially getting left behind - when they had absolutely no issue leaving others behind when they were part of the haves instead of the have-nots.
