I have a car insurance question for those that might know. My daughter wrecked
her car yesterday. The other driver is 100% at fault and got the citation. The police report I got emailed to me this morning included the other drivers contact and insurance information.

I called their insurance agency to file a claim and I gave their policy number and it turns out the other drivers name is not on the policy nor is the car she was driving. And the address doesn't match anything they have either.

I emailed the police officer and the other driver asking for her to give me more information and her email bounced back as undeliverable. I then called her cell and I at least got her voice mail.

Is there any logical explanation other than some sort of fraud or intentionally bad information given to me? I'm thinking I'm screwed.
