If you like the offense you ran with Wilson and are trying to establish and identity with that offense like we did in the 70’s and 80s then you need a quarterback who is accurate enough to throw timing routs to spots in small windows.

Right now we have two quarterbacks that can do that, Romney and conover. Romney makes less turnovers but is not able to make all of the throws consistently. Connover makes all the throws but occasionally has turnovers if Connover gets correct on that it will be hard not to start him

Hall has seen this and he knows it. This is why his dad paid for him to go for the entire summer to John Beck. There is no secret here, they don’t want to change the offense they want a quarterback that can run the offense. They are trying to create an offensive identity. If Hall can become an accurate passer then all bets are off and it’s a competition between he and conover

The first week of camp will be key, the one that comes in and dominates the practices will be the starter. Nothing else will matter.

The thing I like best here is that for the coaches it’s not about who they like or who their favorite person is right now, it’s about who can make the throws and run the offense best.

As fans we have our agendas I hope this time were able to get on the same page and support whomever. That sure hasn’t been the case the past few quarterbacks
