'Paying for coaches' doesn't guarantee anything. Plenty of P5 teams are
'paying coaches' much more than BYU does and with worse results. The real key is finding guys that are just good at their jobs no matter how glossy their resume appears to be.
Does Steve Clark have a impressive resume? Does Fesi Sitaki? Harvey Unga? Jernaro Guilford? None of them have impressive resumes. I'd hate to see any of them leave though.
