I don't get how a patent filed in 2016 can invalidate prior use
GMG released wifi controllers and app control for their line of pellet smokers in 2015 at the latest. GMG has a Youtube video published on November of 2015 explaining how to use them. *edit: I didn't read the article that clearly points out GMG released their WiFi grills in 2015.
How can Traeger file a patent for something that's already on the market and then sue companies for not patenting it first? Traeger is being the Apple of the BBQ industry, and I've lost all respect for them.
