What I mean is the concept of having an app control a device. There have been apps controlling devices for years. And I don't have a problem with Traeger coming up with an app to control their devices - not at all. They've developed an app that can control their grill - great!
On the other hand - if other grill/smoker makers also want to make an app to control their own grills and smokers - no patent that Traeger has should keep them from doing that. If Traeger has some unique way of making that happen - great. That may be patent worthy. But simply the idea of an app controlling a grill/smoker? Not so patent worthy, in my mind.
