essentially agreeing with me about what TS and GS/player is, the som of FS(PS) + DS
You are correct about TS and that USC team was a great example of it. I totally agree.
My comment was about the fact that most fans think BYU is SLOW of FOOT.
BYU is NOT slow of foot and that was the original intent of my comment however you may have read it. Presentation failure is my fault. However my purpose in giving the example of the App State and Oregon wins over 2007 Michigan was that all the talking heads said Michigan was slow footed. I was sitting in the Press Box of BYU's 27-17 loss to UCLA the same day as the Oregon Loss. The ABC Announcers kept saying how slow Michigan was.
I turned to another writer and said, Michigan was not slow footed, they were slow making decisions and out of place as a result of their lack of preparation. He agreed with me. We both agreed that by mid season the freshman dominated Michigan Defense was going to look a lot faster. They did. By the end of the season they suffered a close loss to OSU, and then faced defensing national champion Florida in the bowl game...and the Wolverines ran the Gators off the field. Michigan did NOT lack footspeed. They lacked decision speed.
Context is really important.
