MLMs.
Edit: I do not think sales folks or recruiters are dishonest. Nor do I think everyone involved in MLM is dishonest...now back to my original post:
Do sales folks ever fully disclose the shortcomings of their product (probably never). Do the sales folks have to be deceptive to get past the receptionist (usually).
Have you ever watched a solicitation for a charity (sales effort)? When they ask you for $19 a month (to save a dog or a child) do they ever tell you that $10 of $19 pays administrative costs and less than half goes toward the good? (Yes, but only because they are compelled through regulatory requirements.
Do recruiters fully disclose issues with the position they are trying to fill (probably never) Do they make the recruit feel like they represent them (almost always but they don’t). Executive recruiters tend to be better than lower level recruiters.
There are lots of members of the chirch that do these types of work. Despite all the clear evidence above, I am not going to question their church membership nor their integrity. They have to figure that out for themselves - How best to close the respective sale.
