We love our dogs, but we try to be hyper-sensitive to others who don't care for them.

When outside of our property, they're always on a leash - unless we're running them in an open field with no people etc...

When people come over, we put them in my closed office or in the back yard

We ALWAYS pick up after them. (I'm a big believer in 'poo karma')

We never let them run into a neighbors yard

We don't fly with them (unless in the cargo hold - which we've done and yes, they were just fine)
