While that might be the case, it still doesn't explain this to me

A kid from Fla want to transfer to BYU, mostly out of the blue. There are are plenty of schools that need a RB. Just because BYU happens to be one doesn't really explain it. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see it happen. I just don't understand why it would.
