Talent is not more spread out in the EPL. The vast majority is concentrated in
the Top 6 clubs, then there is a huge drop-off to the next tier. Other leagues, including La Liga and even the Bundesliga, have more parity throughout the league.
Scroll through these ELO rankings and you'll see what I'm talking about. The EPL only has 6 teams in the Top 50 ranking of global clubs, while La Liga has 13 and the Bundesliga has 8.
In fact, outside of those 6 clubs, the next-highest-ranked EPL team is #62 Leicester City. There are 16 Spanish teams ranked higher than the 7th-best EPL club.
