I don't think he is that much of a loss

He is a good player but is not elite. He is a top 30 player but he isn't the type of player who can lead the Jazz (or Celtics) to the Finals or an NBA championship as the star. He would make a good wing man to help support a true elite player (similar to a Clay Thompson or Kevin Love). I would expect the Jazz can find another "All-Star" type player to replace him (Kirilenko, Boozer, Williams, etc) and life will move on for the Jazz as they continue to be happy with competing for a play off spot.
