But they said being around many of the Jazz front office on draft day made them reconsider their views. They said Utah still seems very confident that Hayward is going to stick around.
I think the best thing for Utah was Hayward getting the all-star nod this year over Rudy. I think getting a taste of that individual accolade combined with max money, familiarity with role in system, Rudy, and better shot at future individual accolades ends up keeping him in Utah...as long as the Jazz are able to show him that the point guard position is taken care of.
