Society as a whole benefits from covering the cost of curing productive, young

people. It is worth it ethically and financially. The money that person gives back to society with their production, etc is usually more than the cost of chemo or a transplant. Pulling the plug on salvageable poor kids is just flat out idiotic.

Where we could trim is on the 90 year old demented lady who needs to die but the family wants everything done.
