Sure, but this isn't necessarily a surprise for BYU fans.
Go look back some of those teams in the 90's (and early 80's). There were some bad, bad losses and that was an era where BYU wasn't at such a disadvantage in terms of recruiting, coaches salaries, and other institutional disadvantages (i.e., the honor code, academics).
I agree--the losses are bad...and it's HOW BYU is losing that frustrates me more than the loss itself, but the point remains...this is part of being a fan. I hope something changes. I want something to change, but I'm going to keep hoping and cheering that the team will win...I guess that's just how I am as a fan.
