I only regret spending $4k+ at Hoopes Vision. I really don't think they're

better; just pricier. My outcome: Daytime vision is terrific, but my eyes still seem to be drier than they were pre-surgery, and I had it done 7-8 years ago. My nighttime vision is not as great, and I still see a tiny "halo effect" around bright lights at night. On balance I'm pretty happy, and I'd do it again.

If you're going that route, do PRK, not Lasik. Slightly longer recovery, no flap
