corneas are shaped badly...lasik will destroy your eye sight. That's about the only way I know of that it won't work. Unless the doctor simply screws up.

If you're going that route, do PRK, not Lasik. Slightly longer recovery, no flap

Standard Optical (the cheapest place i could find) did multiple cornea maps.
