when the Bowl Alliance disbanded in favor of the BCS? I hate to say it but Utah might have been the best team in the nation when they beat Alabama but the ratings can always put a team in or out because they're not based on science but on subjection by voters. It won't be any different now but teams like BYU are really left out now because of our independent status. There are still no other sports in the world who exclude a large chunk of the teams who play in the league from winning a real championship. College Football FBS is a dinosaur that should have gone extinct years ago before it got this out of hand.
