Actually, they are never frozen.
I waited tables at an OG through undergrad 20 years go. The bread is bought fresh from local bakeries, and never frozen. They then add the butter/garlic salt combo, and put in the warmer. So they don't need to freeze it. In fact, few things are frozen there.

I get why people make fun of it, but honestly, it;s ok food for the price point. Nothing special.
