Both are super smart. In general, I find Army culture produces better servant-leaders than the Navy.
Naval Academy grads that go down the path of aviation, surface warfare, or subs tend to leave the Navy with a strong sense of entitlement.

I have found that the West Point grads tend to have both studied and implemented leadership principles.

Again in general, I think it comes down to how the Navy relies on NCOs for leadership and puts officers in a different place than the Army does. Especially during the last two decades, Army officers have been in combat with their troops and I find to have a lot more respect for the people that work for them.

There are always exceptions, and I worked for and with some wonderful people in the Navy. But I’ve hired much better leaders coming out of the Army. I’m also starting from a place of only interviewing the smart ones from both, though, so my opinion is skewed by that.
