I completely understand what you’re saying, but think you are suffering from
A little bit of confirmation bias. I was stationed at USNA and was hesitant going into it. I had bought into all the stereotypes. I quickly learned how wrong I was.

I would agree that the communities you mentioned (SWO, Sub, aviation) probably have the biggest reputation for a sense of entitlement. But they also have a lot of great leaders.

Obviously I can’t speak to your experiences and I don’t know what your rate/designator was in the Navy, nor your current background. But if you hire West Point grads over USNA grads “100% of the time” you’re missing out on some outstanding people simply because you’ve already made up your mind.
