What makes it a horrible decision? ARod saw it as a low risk throw
Before having two runs to score. Passing on 1st is better than on 3rd in a lot of ways because the defense was expecting two runs. Watching the play over you will see Jake had an open Keelan Marion but made a poor decision.
It’s certainly an aggressive play call but you can find other aggressive playcalls that won us games this year.
