One obvious one:
BYU has had a target on their back after the hot start. This was obvious with revamped game plans from Oklahoma St, Utah, etc. We have been the hunted and when that happens it can often be hard to predict what the other team is going to do.
Some speculative:
BYU is too much focused on love and learn. I love Sitake, the man, but if he is giving me a speech BEFORE the game (I don't know that he ever has) that we are going out to play against our brothers that would not be very motivating to me.
Jay Hill and A-Rod both appear to be better at making adjustments than actual games plans. Why is it that even in games like Kansas where the D plays lights out that they allow a TD on the first series? Why is it that the O is dominant in the 2nd half against Arizona St but couldn't score in the first?
Bottom Line: I wish it weren't the case. I wish we would be able to fix it. Hard to argue with results at 9-2, but this is one area we can definitely improve.
