I would always ask a Chevy truck about a Ram truck, and vice versa.
You're never going to get the full story from a ram truck guy about a ram truck and you're never going to get the full story about a Chevy truck from a Chevy guy.

They're both just going to share the highlights of their truck and neglect mentioning any of the deficiencies or they will create apologetics to try to downplay them and explain/hand wave them away.

So for a ram truck definitely listen to a ram truck guy but also make sure to listen to other truck owners. Same thing for chevy. Same thing with buying a house, etc. Never get your information from only one side. Especially in politics, religion, etc.
