That's what an interstate move looks like, though.
You've got to get all your stuff moved, your house cleaned up and sold, and depending on the market, that can take a lot of time and effort. I've done it twice myself, and had a house in another state I was trying to get rid of for up to a year after.
The woman didn't communicate her emergency with the old house very well, but I don't think anything else about her situation sounds suspicious.
