Used to be a year but they realized there are some unrealistic aspects of that so believe the last one was 3 mos.
If you're young enough to not remember that, you should check your Grandma's basement for very old buckets of wheat. She can tell you all about it.

It's been 12 months for a long time, back even in the 70s. More recently it has been 72 hrs as a minimum.
