For one thing, it continues to be ever present and in one’s face if one happens to be a BYU fan. I would rather not read about Utah at all much less concern myself with their fans. But I cannot follow my own team on social media or read the comments section of BYU sports articles without encountering the behaviors in question.

Enough people have been to Utah games and have had lousy experiences as BYU fans that they’re probably going to talk about it on a BYU fan forum. Many of them claim it’s way worse than anywhere else. Also seems like reasonable fan fodder on one’s own board.

Perhaps when items like these cease to be a thing, it will cease to be relevant, and it will probably not be discussed with the same frequency. While I am apparently not as appalled by at all as you, I could probably do with less Ute discussion
