This game is a loss this season if played vs half of the Big12, just like it was last year. We were able to overcome Jake’s warts because we was the tougher team in the trenches. They’re a first year p4 program and are in the process of trying to makeover their roster into a p4 caliber one. For us we’ve had a couple of off-seasons now to work on that. We won’t have that kind of physical advantage when we move into our conference schedule (as we saw last year).

As for “hoping” this wakes up the offense, I think the Arod quote will be one of the defining things for this season when he said “this is just who he is” meaning he’s going to lose us some games as much as he will give us a chance to win some.
