Likelihood of converting the 4th downs in Big 12 play is much less.

So, take out the 4th down conversions Saturday and we are down to 27 points.

Factor in that it is FCS and not Big 12, and maybe we are really looking at 20 points scored if this was a conference game. How many Big 12 games do we win with 20 points? Keep in mind, the D gave up 13 points to this FCS opponent. Do you think factoring in Big 12 level offense results in less than 7 more points given up? Not likely.

I realize A) this was the first game of the season, and B) transitive property isn't a thing in sports, so it really is just a mental exercise. Just me trying to use a little critical thinking to look ahead. I think that's allowable as a fan without being guilty of attacking the team.
