My parents paid for books my 1st semester and my 1st semester after my mission

I'm not sure if college students use books any more.

My wife and I plan to cover the first semester for each kid (tuition and books). We have a 529 set up for each one. They know this and the expectation is that they'll be actively working toward tuition and books for the next upcoming semester.

We're about to take that deep dive into college costs soon with our oldest.
