I think you're exaggerating that someone needs to blow away the competition to
beat out Retzlaff.
He's not that far ahead. Sure maybe he's the front runner and gets rep 1 in spring ball but he hasn't done anything to bury the competition during limited January workouts (mostly strength and conditioning) which is all that has taken place so far.
Retzlaff may be the lead but there are a couple definitely in contention to beat him out. It's a real competition.
