BYU also joined the Big12 severely deficient in what they spend on the
football program. It’s hard to keep quality coaches like Jay Hill before he bounces to a lateral move for higher pay. Jeff Grimes left for that reason a few years ago. I feel the BB program is lacking in the same exact way. A million here, a million there, adds up fairly quickly.
BYU also operates in what money they currently have and not loans. So, they can’t plan for future improvements without cash in hand.
