LoL I did the same thing a few years ago
I had a trip to Malaysia and was supposed to continue on to India. Spent a few days in Malaysia and then went to the airport for my flight to India. Got to the check in counter and they were like you don’t have a visa. You can’t go to India. I scrambled to try to get one but quickly realized it would take a few days.
Luckily I was flying business class and was able to rebook a flight on KLM to Amsterdam that night and then onto SLC the next day.
I was traveling with a coworker from Singapore and she just had to laugh at my stupidity.
I was super bummed because that was probably the only chance in my life to go to India.
