They do lots of things that you wouldn't expect. Don't underestimate how willing Utah has been to burn bridges when BYU is part of the conversation. They sold their souls on the altar of Urban Meyer and have been basking in their own overinflated sense of self and acting as if they are the Ohio State of the Mountain Time Zone. They aren't; but they refuse to listen to any suggestion to the contrary even when the real world slaps them in the face with it. It sometimes feels that the entirety of twitter and the non-SLC media either ignores Utah altogether or jokes about how ridiculously self-important they are. National source talk about Oregon, Washington, Stanford and ASU (to a lesser extent). Nobody beyond 6 miles of the U's campus seriously expects they will move the needle at all.
