I have a friend who's been buying his Grandma's tickets for years
for basketball. Lower bowl.
She was a faculty member and so received discounted tickets from some rate set years ago. According to him. He's been enjoying prime seats for cheap for a long time. Grandma hasn't attended in many years, and passed away 2 years ago. A bit of a squabble as I understand between an uncle and this grandson, both of whom wanted the cheap lower bowl tickets.
He said the other day that's going away after this season.
It makes sense to me. How long can you expect to have certain seats based on a parent or grandparents status as faculty or donation level?
