The former systems at least had more than 2 bowl games that the teams on the outside looking in had a chance to participate in. Now with only two games (4 teams) making up the "playoff" there will be next to no chance at all for a non-P5 conference team to even get a sniff. If someone things the conference heads of the P5 will stand for one of their brother conferences being left out so that a Boise State, Utah or Hawaii (or BYU) can take their place at the table I have the property the Easter Bunny uses in the off season for their egg production that I'll sell rather cheaply. Until the number of teams increase (8 isn't even enough) it will still be the 'them and us', and with the new autonomy rules it creates even more space that the G5 conferences and Indy's have to make up.
College football is about as corrupt as professional boxing has been in the past.
