After going to the JMHC and having my 75yo Patriarch father being berated as a
'drunk' by BYU fans how do you justify your association with a school with fans like that?

No I'm not kidding, yes my father was accosted by a large group of BYU fans who didn't back down until I got between them and let them know what they were doing.

As said before, no doubt stupid Ute fans exhibited boorish behavior but these blanket judgments have to stop. I don't think all BYU fans are low-lifes like these guys were, but there was also about 5o other BYU fans who witnessed it and chose to do nothing.

So step one is to stop claiming moral superiority for your school, fans or players. Step two is to recognize bad behavior of fans as their actions alone. Step three is to stop inflating and fabricating stories to make them sound worse than they are. Step four is to get over religious persecution complexes.

I've been attending Utah sporting events for 30 years and must have been to maybe over 1000 events and either by luck or something else I can count on one hand obnoxious Utah fan behavior and on the other hand the same of BYU fan behavior. Each time both sides have been escorted out without delay.

Now I may be stuck in a little Mormon bubble or not up in the rafters where this stuff happens or something but the math just doesn't add up.

So let's put away the self-righteousness and just see things for what they are, a game that is tied to a heated rivalry that even the most unobjective person would says needs a cooling period.
