I worry about this every year. We have always focused our big gifts on family events that will create memories.
Each child gets several small gifts but usually nothing extraordinary. They’re use to it and as far as I know they are totally bought in, however I still stress about it every Dec 24th about this time of night.

Yep. I hope every parent does. A few years ago we started spending Christmas mornings at the homeless shelter
