When asked why the subs kept passing the ball, Lavell said..

He was great at giving subs playing time and felt that it was their opportunity to learn and show that they understood the O and D.
KS often keeps the score close, thereby denying the subs much needed game-time experience , so he can pump up his cutesy feel-good love and learn mantra. Hopefully someday he'll figure out that once the game starts, the object is to play by the rules and play to win.
