This doesn't say we use the middle of the field a lot
It says we're efficient when we do, which is not the same thing.
Sorry this is just the statistical pedant in me. I do think the "doesn't use the middle of the field" thing is exaggerated (even if we definitely don't use our TE as much as other options), but effective in an area is not the same as making heavy use of an area
