They named the locker room after a coach they fired, even though he went 10-3 in
his last season.
That was the start of the downfall in Nebraska Football. Tom Osborne gave them such high, unsustainable expectations, that a coach as good as Frank Solich was, would never be able to live up to.
And no one has since. I served my mission in Nebraska in 1998, right after their last national championship. It was literally the only thing people in Nebraska cared about the whole time I was there.
