that goal without a healthy QB1. Even then.
Knowing that, utah is trying to keep rising healthy while getting meaningful reps for the QB of the future. I don't see anything wrong with a 4-1 start and the current state of the program.
We learned more about Wilson's limitations and what happens when Utah is outclassed at the QB position. But we've seen that in almost every Utah loss that you mention. Nix, Penix, Daniels, Caleb Williams, Stroud, Richardson and even Hall / Clifford. Most of those losses — and several wins — for utah came with QB2 at some point in the game vs. an NFL QB.
BYU fans mock Utah for their 9+ win average over the last 10 years...don't really understand how unique and phenomenal that is for a school in Utah's shoes. I'd be curious to see if that isn't on par with the best BYU decades vs. WAC competition.
It's impressive. I don't think any other program would devalue that.
Utah's fortunes this season are tied to the health of Rising. I like that KW didn't force the issue and let him heal. I don't think this loss is meaningful unless there is 2 more in conference. We'll see.
