Exactly this....every ER in the country is overwhelmed by the homeless and uninsured.....they are either too lazy or just don't care to find a PCP or use an Urgent Care center...they treat the ER like it is their family physician and this overwhelms the whole system....ie: it is like feeding the homeless...we don't take them out to Ruth's Chris for every meal but that is exactly what they do with the healthcare system...they got to the most expensive place they can due to convenience for themselves....over 70% of ER pts are repeat customers on a weekly or bi weekly basis....don't care if you have Insurance or not there are multiple other ways to get treated rather than the ER!!
