I put it on at 9-10pm before I go to bed. Then when I pull it off at 7-9am depending on size, I put it in my oven on the warm setting (150) to hold it until we are ready to eat. If you need the oven for something else, wrap in towels and put in a cooler it'll keep it hot enough for almost the entire day.
When you wrap, add some tallow to it.
You can also try a foil boat instead of a full wrap.
Biggest thing is starting with a good cut - go for prime, find one where ther flat isn't too much thinner than the point. if the flat is super skinny it'll finsih way faster - which is fine, just separate them if that's all there is so you don't waste half of it.
