Per their latest court filings, it will costs FSU $572M to leave the ACC.

Now, that could probably be negotiated down (nobody pays the full amount) so let's knock that all the way down to $300M for Florida St.

And another $300M for Clemson.

So now we're looking at paying $600M, split between 16 schools. Or $37.5M per school up front cost that each member of the Big 12 is paying the ACC on behalf of Clemson and Florida St

But in return we get Clemson and FSU for 5 or maybe 6 years.

So are Clemson and FSU going to increase the yearly payout by $7M per team per year? Because that's what it'll take for it to be worth it and earn our money back (ignoring the time value of money)

So if adding Clemson and Florida St can bring the per team per year average from $31.7M to $38.5M, then they're worth adding, even if it costs a ton up front to get them.

Of course that means that the conference media deal was previously worth $507.2M per year ($31.7M x 16) and would now be worth $693M per year ($38.5M x 18).

Meaning Clemson and FSU are worth $186M ... aka $93M each (and probably more with stronger conference opponents)

Since the B1G and SEC teams get ~$70M per year per team, this would also mean Clemson and Florida St would be absolute no-brainers for either of them to add (as long as they don't have to pay the massive buyout)
